RAIA: Varca Veterans moved past Carmel Curtorim Veterans 2-1 to move into the semi-finals of 4th all-Goa veterans football tournament organised by Batora United Club at DYSA ground, Curtorim, on Saturday.
Varca Veterans Francisco (Pele) scored the first goal for Varca Veterans in the 35th minute to give lead. In the second half, Raju Cardozo doubled the lead in the 60th minute. Before the extra time, Carmel Curtorim Veterans pulled a goal back through the efoorts of Horonatt Mascarehnas in the 85th minute. Raju Cardozo of Varca Veterans was presented the man-of-the-match award.
