RAIA: Varca Veterans emerged champions defeating Colva Veterans 5-4 via the tie-breaker in the finals of late Saude Mendes veterans football tournament organised by Carmona Sports Club at Carmona on Sunday. There was no score at full time.
Varca won Rs 25,000 and Colva had to content with Rs 20,000 besides trophies. Romeo of Varca was awarded best goalkeeper prize. Nelson of Colva won the man-of-the match award. Fr Roland Carvalho, Parish Priest of Carmona was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
