Both teams played an attacking football.
In the 4th minute Vasco’s Vishant Pednekar took control of the ball received from Uday Naik and shot from close range but to his dismay the Navelim goalkeeper saved it with ease.
Navelim’s Denis Cabral was thick of action in the 12th and 16th minutes as he missed two glorious chances shooting wide on both occasions.
In the 28th minute, Vishant missed another chance as he shot wide with only the keeper at his mercy.
In the 40th minute, Navelim took the lead through Denis off Seby Vaz assist.
But the Navelim joy was short lived as within six minutes Vasco Veterans equalised through Vishant Pednekar header off Uday Naik cross.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Vasco Veterans proved to be better shooters.
The winners received Rs 30,000 and a trophy while the runners-up settled for Rs 20,000.
Nuvem MLA Francisco X Pachecho was the chief guest for the final and gave away the prize to the winners and runners-up in the presence of ZP member Nelly Rodrigues, Ruzafda Baptista mother of late Anthony Baptista, Sucorina Baptista wife of late Anthony and other dignitaries.
