NAVELIM: Vasco Veterans got the better of Varca Veterans 4-3 via the tie-breaker to advance into the quarter-finals the 7th Navelim Veterans football tournament played at Rosary Ground, Navelim, on Saturday.
Raju Cardozo opened the scoreline for Varca in the 12th minute while Ramesh equalised for Vasco in the 19th minute. In the resultant tie-breaker, Vasco Veterans proved to be the better shooters.
