CHANDRAWADDO-FATORDA:Vasco Veterans got the better of Quepem Veterans 5-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of the Fatorda Veterans football tournament, at DBO ground, Murida-Fatorda on Monday.
Vasco Veterans’ Salvador Carvalho and Ramesh Palkar were in thick of action in the forward line for the first ten minutes and missed a couple of chances on several occasions.
At the other end, Quepem Veterans missed chances to score through Dinesh Naik and Mahesh Goaonkar in the 35th and 40th minutes respectively.
In the tie-breaker, Vasco veterans proved to be better shooters.
Vasco Veterans will now meet Bardez Veterans in the semi-finals on March 18.
