PONDA: Vedant Angle, Ethan Vaz and Kanishk Sawant led with 4.5 points each at the end of 5th round on Day 2 of the All Goa State Chess Championship, at Wagle High School, Mangeshi, on Saturday.
The tournament is organised by Ponda Taluka Chess Association under the auspices of Goa Chess Association.
In the girl’s category, Rivia Raikar led with 5 points.
The 5th round results in the boys category are as follows: Ethan Vaz drew with Vedant, Angle, Kanishk Sawant beat Pushkar Desai and Varad Prabhu beat Dhruv Desai
The 5th round results in girls category are as follows: Rivia Raikar beat Jennica Sequeira, Saeeja Dessai beat Shrivalli Ghandi and Shriya Patil beat Aahana Naik.
