Vedant spins a web around Hyderabad

MARGAO: A six wicket haul for just 38 runs by off-spinner Vedant Naik helped host Goa beat Hyderabad by 100 runs and register their first win in the U-22 South Zone limited overs cricket tournament in their second league match played at BITS Pilani ground.

MARGAO: A six wicket haul for just 38 runs by off-spinner Vedant Naik helped host Goa beat Hyderabad by 100 runs and register their first win in the U-22 South Zone limited overs cricket tournament in their second league match played at BITS Pilani ground.
Batting first Goa scored 224 for 9 in the allotted 50 overs and than bundled out Hyderabad for just 124. Hyderabad’s nemesis was spin bowling as all wickets were bagged by Goan spinners.
At MCC ground – Margao, Kerala registered their second straight win of the tournament defeating Andhra Pradesh by 1 wicket. At PCA ground- Karnataka defeated Tamilnadu by 87 runs.
