MARGAO: Velsao Pale Sports Club registered a comfortable 3-0 win over Panchwadi United Sports Club to win the Goa Football Association U-18 Second Division League (South Zone) at Curtorim ground, on Monday.
Velsao Pale finished their campaign at the top with 13 points while Snows FA finished second with 11 points as both teams qualified for the play offs.
Velsao Pale led 1-0 at the break. Rahul Maganwar put them ahead with a 19th minute strike.
In the second half, Kenneth Da Costa doubled the account in the 52nd minute while Prisco Da Silva scored the third in the dying minutes of the game to give Velsao a 3-0 win.
Meanwhile in another match, Snows Football Academy and Sporting Club of Davorlim played out a 1-1 draw at Astro Turf ground, FatordaSporting Club Davorlim took the lead in the 25th minute through Alister Monteiro. In the second half, Keegan Fernandes levelled the score for Snows FA in the 72nd minute.
