PANJIM: Verna SCA edged past Benfica Youth Club, 3-2 in the U-14 league organised by Goa Football Association, at Chicalim ground, on Wednesday.
Mysler Braganza, Eli Rego and Ajit Sayed scored for the winners while Muzammil Ali and Elson D’Souza scored for the Benfica club.
At Ambelim ground, United Boys of Palolem registered a 3-2 win against Union of Chinchinim Villagers with the same scoreline as the previous.
Elroy Cardozo scored two goals while Jagannath Parida added one more for the winners. For the Chinchinim team, Shario Gomes and Larson Rebello scored one each.
At Quepem ground, Wilred Leisure SC thrashed Tilamol United SC 11-1.
