Merces Villagers beat Customs and Central Excise 5-4 via the sudden-death tie-breaker in the All-Goa Diogo Vaz memorial veterans soccer tournament organized by Don Bosco Past Pupils Association, Panjim at Don Bosco ground, here on Sunday.
Joao Salemao from Customs and Central Excise and Ierissimo Rodrigues from Merces Villagers were awarded special prizes for their outstanding performance. Sanjiv Nagvekar, ex-international and presently manager of Salgaocar Sports Club was the chief guest.
