DABOLIM: “The victory is of all the spectators in the audience and of the team” stated Francisco Neto, Team Goa coach after the teams victory against Mozambique.
“All the 20 players are stars of team Goa-India. We do not rank each and every player but we fight every day every moment to be winners,” added joyful Neto.
Neto also stated that all the players have performed well and the new comers can also perform well in the I-League.
While complimenting the players Neto further stated that the players fought for the Goa-India.
Mandarao Dattarao Dessai, Team Goa-India captain stated that this win is because of our hard work and for last ten weeks we have been working out for this moment. The win belongs to the entire team of 20 players and to the spectator who gave us a morale support.”
“Though initially nervous, the players gave their 100 per cent and the amazing fan support added to our victory” added Dessai.
With the next fixture on Wednesday, Dessai stated that we won’t take them lightly and will do our best.
Neto further revealed that the team suffered no injurious but will be tired for tomorrow after a much deserved and hard fought victory.
Dejected Mozambique Coach, Agusto Matinee stated that they had expected a good game from the Goa-India team and lost the match as the players did not perform well. We are looking forward for a better result in our next fixture, he added.
Matinee further added that the players are here not for results but for improvisation. Martine added that the crowd was astonishing backing the home team.
