PANJIM: Vidarbha scored 199 for 2 on Day 2 and trail by 40 runs after bowling Goa 239 all out in the Ranji Tophy match played at Goa Cricket Association ground, Porvorim, on Saturday.
The skipper Faiz Fazal and Sanjay Ramaswamy opened the batting innings for Vidarbha after restricting Goa’s batting order at the end of play on Day 1. Faiz scored 32 runs off 49 balls before being sent back to the pavilion by A G Pandrekar.
Sanjay went on to score 87 runs off 199 balls before being dismissed to Darshan Misal. Wasim Jaffer(70 off 229) and Shalabh Shrivastava (9 off 69) remain at the crease at the end of Day 2.
