MAPUSA/RAIA: Vintage 73 SC drubbed Portais Sporting Club by 6-1 margin in the GFA’s Boys U-13 League match played at DBO Parra ground, on Saturday.
It was Portais Sporting that stunned their opponents scoring the first goal through the boots of Shaksham Caranzalkar.
However, as the match progressed Shaksham Shetgaonkar netted a hat-trick, with Atharv Shetgaonkar, Basuraj Benakanahalli and Arun Sawant adding their names to the scorers list.
In the next match, PVC Parra came from two goals down to hold Piedade Youth Association to a 3-3 draw. For PYA Ritvita Gawas, Snedan Vaz and Sujit Singh scored, while for PVC Parra lads Narayan Khandappanavar (2) and Rafael D’Cunha scored.
At artificial turf, Fatorda, Panjim Footballers defeated Geno FC 8-4. Pierson Fernandes scored a hat-trick, Shiva Kumar scored a brace while Shawn Pereira and Ashwin Noronha scored one goal each for Panjim Footballers. For Geno FC, Aryan Issac scored a hat-trick while Panjim Footballers Shawn Pereira scored a self goal.
In another match, Salgaocar FC defeated Sporting Club de Goa by 11-4 goals. Ashnoy Vaz scored four, a brace each by Ashwin Miranda and Joseph D’Costa, while Rutvik Mhalsekar, Anosh Vaz and Daison Colaco scored a goal each for Salgaocar FC. For Sporting Clube de Goa, Gesio Fernandes, Rohit Colaco, Rishu Manjhi and Valanco Fernandes netted a goal each.
