MAPUSA: Vintage 73 SC drubbed Laxmi Prasad SC by 5-1 margin in the GFA’s Girls U-15 Khelo India League match played at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Parra, on Sunday.
Vishwaja Gaonkar opened his team’s account in the very first minute and later netted three more goals. Gunjun Shetgaonkar netted the fifth goal for the winners while Ridhima Dalvi scored the consolation goal for Laxmi Prasad. On Saturday, Dunes SC registered a hard fought 1-0 win over Quitula SC.
The all-important goal came in the 47th minute through the boots of Valanka Rodrigues. In the next match, Eagles SC edged past CSM de Taleigao by 2-1 margin. Saina Kerkar netted a brace for Eagles while Steva Fernandes pulled a goal for Taleigao.
