PANJIM: Vitozem Sports Club and Jingle Bells will battle for supremacy in the finals of all-Divar inter-ward football tournament organised by St Mathias Sports Club in co-ordination with Melca Vaz on January 29, at Sao Mathias Panchayat ground, Malar-Divar, at 4.30 p.m.
In the semi-finals, Jingle Bells got the better of St Mathias via the tie-breaker 5-3 after the teams were locked goalless at the end of regulation time.
Vitozem and Maddant Sports Club showed excellent footballing skills and proved equally to their task eluding goals in the regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Vitozem proved to be better the shooters sealing their victory with 5-2 score.
The chief guest for the finals will be Sao Mathias Village Panchayat Sarpanch Loduvina Ataide while guest of honour will be parish priest Fr Pio Almeida.
