Vodafone GFDC Rising Stars football festival kicks off

PANJIM: Aldona defeated Parra 4-0 in the under-13 boys category of the Inter Centre League of Vodafone GFDC Rising Stars Football festival season II at Aldona ground, which kicked-off on Saturday.

Larry Gomes scored a brace and was adjudged as the player of the match while the other two goals were scored by Philip Carvalho and Tanvin Okofer. 
In the under-10 boys, Narendra Naik’s hat-trick powered the home team to defeat Parra 4-2. 
The phenomenal performance earned Narendra the player of the match award. Samuel Pinto also scored.
At Pernem, the home team was thrashed by visitors Arambol 7-1 in U-10 category. D’Mello scored four goals for his side which earned him the player of the match award. The other scorers for Arambol were Johncy Rodrigues (2) and Sanford Fernandes (1). Shidhved scored the only goal for his side. 
In the U-13, Pernem managed to hold Arambol in a draw as both the teams scored two goals each. Sanket and Ashwary scored for Pernem while Nathan Rodrigues and Cyprian Rodrigues scored for Arambol.
Paroda centre won their games in all the three categories against visitors Quepem. 
In the U-10, Paroda defeated Quepem 1-0. Ridon scored the match winning goal. 
In U-13, Paroda got the better of Quepem 2-0 as Larisa and Joyvi scored a goal each for their side. 
In U-13, Savio’s match winning goal helped his side overcome Quepem 1-0.
At Benaulim, the home team thrashed Amone 10-0 in U-13 category as Keegan Fernando’s scored four goals. 
He was supported by teammates Menfred Pinto and Manav Kamat who scored two goals each while Sandroy and Soares and Mathew Fernandes scored a goal each. 
Keegan was adjudged as player of the match.  
In U-13 girls, Benaulim defeated Amone 2-0. Sony Negi and Keziah Ferrao scored a goal each and Sony was adjudged as player of the match.
At Mayem, all three matches in U-10, U-13 boys and U-13 girls category against Poira ended in a goalless draw. In the lone match at Moira, U-13 boys of Arpora managed to hold the home team in a goalless draw.
