PONDA: Wagle High School, Mangeshi won the Ponda taluka Under-14 boys school team table tennis tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Sports Complex, Ponda, recently.
In final, Wagle HS outplayed S.S. Samiti’s IVBD High School, Dhavali in straights sets 3-0. The team consisted of Atharv Nadkarni, Shreyash Shanbhag, Aniket Naik, Mohit Aiker and Switzel D’Souza.
In the Under-14 girls tournament, the school secured second place at the taluka Level. The team consisted of Shruti Mardolkar, Rutuja Tendulkar, Alida Da Costa, Swejal Prabhugaonkar and Simran Velingkar.
Sandeep Pagi, PE teacher, guided both the teams. Headmistress and the management congratulated all the players for their success.
