Delhi skipper Anushka scores 10 goals in their 30-0 win over Rajasthan

MAPUSA/ MARGAO: IFA (West Bengal) registered a hard fought 2-0 win over Uttar Pradesh to seal their place into the quarters of the Junior Girls National Football Championship, organised by Goa Football Association (GFA), played at Duler Stadium, here on Thursday.
Devneta Roy scored from her brilliant solo effort, 1-0 in the 40th minute.
On crossing over in the 81st minute Devneta Roy once again was on the mark where she on collecting a pass from Sunita Sarkar covered some ground and latched a right footer which crashed into the back of the UP nylons, 2-0.
On high scoring day, Orissa thumped Arunachal Pradesh 4-0 while Jharkhand made light work of Chandigarh 5-0. West Bengal eased their way past Uttar Pradesh with a sleek 2-0 win.
Orissa, who thrashed AP by 8-2 margin in the opening match also secured a place into the quarters.
It was Deepa Nayak who broke the deadlock for Orissa in the 23rd minute with a neat placement, 1-0.
On crossing over Orissa pumped in three more goals through Susmita Tanty and Manisha Naik (2).
Delhi had no mercy up on Rajasthan as they scored a massive 30 goal win at Holy Trinity ground, Benaulim on Thursday.
The highlight of the day was ten goals scored by Delhi skipper Anushka Samuel. Meanwhile, it wasn’t just her as midfielder Aveka Singh smashed in seven goals. Prerana Negi scored a hat-trick while Savi Mehta, Anya Goyal and substitute Shalini Rai netted a brace for the winners.Tithy Roy, Asha Thapa, Deepika and goalkeeper Ketaki Tyagi scored a goal each for Delhi. The winners led 13-0 at the break.
In the second match at the same venue, Sharda Kumari scored a fine hat-trick to lift her side before Shital Toppo and Anu Radha Kumari also scripted their names on to the scoresheet against Chandigarh. The winners led 4-0 at the break.
