Herald: How does it feel after clinching the first title at the Asian level?
Maymol: As a head coach, this was my first title with the senior team and it was important for us to win with the Olympic Qualifiers Round 2 coming up.
Herald: What was your philosophy with the players?
Maymol: My philosophy was to play attacking football and let the girls take their own decisions and express themselves on the pitch.
Herald: What changes did you make for outstanding results (winning by a huge margin in every game)?
Maymol: There is no major change or recipe as such. We planned our strategies prior to the match and the girls executed them well.
Herald: What would you like to say about Dalima Chhibber who was at her best in Semis as well as in final?
Maymol: Dalima has been a consistent performer for us in the last few years and she has been improving with time. She still has a lot of potential to grow and I believe she can do so in the coming years. Also, the credit must go to all the players in the squad as they played their roles to perfection.
