FATORDA: FC Goa suffered their second defeat in a row against the Orange Army and despite their dominating performance in the game, Coach Zico said his team were unlucky on Saturday.
“We were unlucky today. We worked hard and tried to create chances. We controlled the game and kept the pace. We created many chances,” he said stressing on the missed opportunities that cost him the points.
Though, the Gaurs played attacking football, their clumsy defence were the talk of the day.
“We made mistakes in the defence and conceded the goals. We tried to sort out the problem. We were controlling the game and we were waiting to score more,” he added.
Speaking on the team’s overall performance, Zico said, “We played better football but Pune City is a good team.”
FC Goa next play Chennaiyin FC away on October 13 in Chennai.
“We will prepare well and will target to get full points and it will be very crucial to win in the next three games to stay and qualify for the semis,” he concluded.
