MARGAO: Wilred Leisure Club recorded an easy 4-2 win over United Club of Telaulim in the Goa Football Association U-14 League match played at Cavelossim ground, on Friday.
Macnelle Dias netted a brace for the winning side as he gave them the lead in the first 25 minutes.
Asher Fernandes inflated the tally to three goals at the half hour mark.
United Club of Telaulim enjoyed their share of possession, but they just couldn’t get their acts right in front of the goal.
The Curtorim side lead 3-0 at the break.
Crossing over, Telaulim came back strongly and pulled a goal back through Mahir Khanasabum in the 37th minute.
But the strike proved no damage to Wilred Leisure, as they continued to do the best –to score the goals, Cyann Gonsalves scored to make it 4-1 in the 53rd minute.
Telaulim tried their best to get back in the game but their opponents did not give a chance to strike as their defence stood strong.
With time running out, UC Telaulim didn’t give up as they continued to give their best and scored another goal in the dying minutes of the game through Riyan Niasso.
