CURTORIM: Wilred Leisure Sports Club Curtorim moved into quarter-finals of the Wilred Leisure Cup, defeating Goa Velha Sports Club 4-3 via the tie-breaker, at Curtorim ground, on Wednesday.
Wilred played an attacking game in front of 400 spectators but missed chances on several occasions.
Wilred had their first chance in 14th minute when Aliston Fernandes after dribbling past Goa Velha defender set Milagres through on goal but his effort went wide.
Thereafter Goa Velha’s Thapa’s shot was well saved by Wilred keeper.
In second half both the teams had their chances but couldn’t score any goals. There was no score at the end of the regulation time.
In the tie-breaker, Wilred Leisure SC Curtorim proved to be better shooters.
