PANJIM: The Goa Yachting Association (GYA) will hold a sailing camp to teach windsurfing/optimists students which will be held from November 8 to 12, at Dolphin Adventure Sports Pvt. Ltd., Hawaii Beach, Dona Paula, from 2.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
The windsurfing camp will be held for students between the age of 10 to 15. Each camp will be of 4/5 days and will impart instructions in basic windsurfing, after which the student will have to follow up and practice to achieve proficiency.
The camp will be conducted by experienced Windsurfers like Derrick Menezes, Domnic Fernandes and Sunil Rajani.
The camp timings are subject to change depending upon the wind conditions.
A sailing camp for beginners in the Optimist Class will also be held simultaneously for students of age group of 8 yrs to 12 yrs. The camp will be conducted by experienced sailors like Col. Milind Prabhu, Ashwin Tombat and Divya Sahasrabudhe.
Only 10 students will be admitted per camp. If there are more than 10 students then an additional camp will be held from November14 to 18.
Students enrolling themselves for the camp will be able to avail a one year student membership of GYA.
