PANJIM: The Goa Football Association will be organising a workshop on First Aid for sports injuries for football for all First Division Clubs participating in the 2019-2020 First Division League Championship.
It will be held on February 17 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m, at Nehru stadium hall, Fatorda. It will be conducted by Dr. Jorson Fernandes, Surgeon – Examiner of St. John Ambulance, Goa State.
It is compulsory for every club to depute their representatives (one or two) to attend the course so that there will be a qualified First Aider with the team on the playfield to attend to injuries.
GFA stated that it is compulsory to have a First Aider or Physiotherapist with the team who can sit on the bench. Those who don’t attend the First Aid training will not be eligible to sit on the bench as an official First Aider.
GFA has asked the club to nominate their First Aider and intimate them the name or names of such person who will be depute by your club to attend the training before February 15. Those being deputed for the First Aid training should report at the venue 2.45.p.m without fail.
