WZ chess for visually challenged at Fatorpa

RAIA: The All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB) and Unique Chess Academy Goa will organise the AICFB West Zone Chess Championship for Visually Challenged from August 2 – 6 at Shri Shantadurga Kunkallikarin Temple, Fatorpa.

It will be the second time that Goa will host the event. It will be conducted under the Swiss league system, comprising nine rounds.

Players from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Goa will participate. Later, 15 players will participate in the National Championship for the Visually Challenged.

The event carries a prize money of Rs 50,000. The event is being organised under the chairmanship of Kishor Bandekar, alongwith Charudatta Jadhav (president AICFB), Manish Thool (general secretary AICFB).
