RAIA: Xetrapal SC defeated Arlem Youth Association, 8-7, via the tie-breaker to enter into the quarter-finals of the Late Bishute Temudo, Frankie Pires and Jose Santa Rita Coelho memorial inter-village football tournament inaugural match, played at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Tuesday.
Arlem opened the scoreline through Myron Souza in the 9th minute but the joy was shortlived as Chandrankant equalised for Xetrapal in the 21st minute. Than Leron Dias doubled the account in the 25th minute for Xetrapal and later Vipul Pednekar equalised in the 42nd minutes.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Xetrapal netted through Sahil Pomburpekar, Pushparaj Mandrekar, Shrineth Navekar, Vishank Dhargalkar, Manthan Jivaji and Balchandra Vernekar and for Arlem Youth Association, Eldon Colaco, Myron Souza, Achilles Fernandes, Delan Gomes and Arjun Rathod.
