SANQUELIM: Xetrapal Sports Club downed St. Savio, Calangute 2-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 2nd Late Musa Ali Aga Memorial football tournament organised by Eagles SC, at Sanquelim ground, on Tuesday.
Domnic Fernandes of St. Savio, Calangute missed two easy chances in the third and fifth minute of the first half.
It was Gopal Shirodkar who scored the first goal for Xetrapal SC with an arrow bound shot.
Xetrapal led by a goal at half-time.
In the second half, in the 44th minute, Gopal Shirodkar scored for Xetrapal SC to make it 2-0.
St Savio Calangute tried their level best but couldn’t score a goal as the defence of Xetrapal SC stood tall.
Gopal Shirodkar was named man-of-the-match.
