SIOLIM: Xetrapal Sports Club, Oxel, earned a hard fought victory over Assonora United Football Club to win their opening round match of St Anthony’s Rolling Cup 2022 tournament organised by St Anthony’s Sports Marna Siolim and assisted by Country Cousins Events and Entertainment in memory of (late) Vinayak and (late) Vilasini Fulari.
It was Xetrapal Sports Club who attacked right from the word go and they found the goal in the first minute when Balchandra Vernekar crossed the ball into the penalty area and was headed into the goal by Kanaya.

Kanaya had a chance to increase the lead for Xetrapal Sports Club but he missed his header with only the goalkeeper to beat.
In the second half Sandesh Vaigankar scored to make it 2-1 for Xetrapal Sports Club.
In the last five minutes Assonora FC went all out to equalise but Xetrapal SC backline kept Assonora United Football Club lads at bay.
