PANJIM: Xetrapal Sports Club trounced Assonora United Sports Club 4-1 to move into the quarter-finals of Anjuna Gymkhana soccer cup, organized by Anjuna Gymkhana, at Anjuna ground, Tembi, on Sunday.
The teams went into the breather locked in a 1-1 draw.
It was Vipul Pednekar who put Xetrapal ahead in the ninth minute with a neat placement. However, in the 20th minute Assonora levelled terms through Prajat Arabekar’s header off a corner, 1-1.
On crossing end, Xetrapal were all over their opponents’ territory and pumped in three more goals through Vikash Pednekar, Bradley Lobo and Vipul Pednekar.
