MARGAO: The second season of McDowell’s No. 1 Yaari Premier inter-village football tournament South and North Goa organized by Cuncolim Union and Calangute Association will commence at Government School Play Ground, Cuncolim and Calangute Association Ground, on August 5, at 4.45 p.m.
The top 18 teams from South and North will participate . Parish Youth, Nuvem will meet Chandor Club while Assolna United Sports Club will face Saligao Sports Club on the inaugural day of the tournament.
Curtorim Gymkhana, Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim, United Club of Benaulim, Betalbatim Sporting Club, Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, Sporting Club of Davorlim, St Rock’s Youth Club, Calata- Majorda, Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club ,Navelim Villagers Union , CRC, Chinchinim, Raia Sporting Club and host Cuncolim Union have confirmed their participation in South Goa while PVC Parra, Dunes Sports Club, Mandrem, Nerul Sports Club, FC Siolim, Candolim Sports Club, Sangloda Lightening Sports Club, CDJ Ribandar, Sai Avtar, Anjuna, Goa Velha Sports Club, Milagres Sports Club, Saligao United, Clube Sao Miguel de Taleigao, Holiday Club and host Calangute Association will view top honours.
The South and North Goa finals will be played on August 21 at Cuncolim and August 28 at Calangute Association ground respectively.
