RAIA: Youth Sports Club of Colvale defeated St. Sebastian SC of Mapusa by solitary goal to enter into the final of Nerul Cup football tournament at Nerul ground, on Saturday.
The all important goal of the match was scored by Yash Narvekar in the first session.
In the 19th minute, Roger Miranda’s fierce drive hit the upright and rebounded into play which was aptly finished by Yash Narvekar.
In the second half, experienced St Sebastian exerted tremendous pressure on the young Colvale side. However, the Colvale boys stood firm.
YSC Colvale missed two opportunities towards the fag end with Krishna Kullam’s header going just wide and thereafter, Roger Miranda’s long ranger kissed the sidepost and went out.
