Fadte, student of St Joseph’s Institute, Vasco stunned top seed Manuel Paquee, also of France, 11-6, 13-15, 11-4, 11-4 in a 49-minute quarter-final and upset another French lad and seventh seed Matteo Cremoux 11-7, 11-6, 11-4 in the semi-finals.
Unseeded Fadte, who recently won a silver medal on debut while playing for India in the 21st Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship, in Kish Island, Iran, outplayed Mekhalfi 11-5, 11-4, 11-4 in a 36-minute final.
“This victory was crucial especially after I narrowly missed winning the title in Iran,” said Fadte from Germany.
“Playing in such tournaments gives me valuable exposure and experience,” he added.
Earlier, Fadte outsmarted Yannick Mahieu of Belgium in the first round,
Karim Farrag of the Czech Republic in the second and Nathan Mead of England in the third, without dropping a set.
Fadte will next feature in the Dutch Open in Amsterdam, Netherlands from July 10 to 13, NSCI Junior Open in Mumbai from July 19 to 23 and Hong Kong Junior Open from July 29 to August 3.
