MARGAO: Hosts Young Boys of Sirvodem edged past Young Boys of Ratwado 2-1 to move into the final of first inter-ward football tournament organised by Young Boys of Sirvodem-Navelim at Rosary Ground, Navelim, on Tuesday.
In the first half, Young Boys of Sirvodem took the lead through a header of Dawson, where the rival goalkeeper was helpless.
In the second half, Young Boys of Ratwado equalised through Freldan with a beautiful placement. In the last five minutes of the match, Young Boys of Sirvodem scored the winner through Myron.
In the second semi-final, Spring Boys Mandopa thrashed Mixed Friends of Navelim 4-0.
The goal scorers were Avlon and Maxton, who scored a brace each.
In the final, Young Boys of Sirvodem will take on Spring Boys Mandopa on December 28, at 4 pm.
