PANJIM: Young Boys of Tonca and CDJ Ribandar recorded wins in their respective encounters of the Goa Football Association Goa Professional League played on Saturday.
While YBT defeated Ronit Sports Club 3-1, CDJ Ribandar outclassed Aivao United FC 10-1.
At Taleigao ground, Young Boys of Tonca took an early fourth minute lead through Charnel Fernandes. Ronit SC were equal to the task but their efforts couldn’t give them any goals. At the half hour mark, Mayur K doubled the account for YBT.
Crossing ends, Ronit SC put up a better performance and successfully managed to score a goal though Bhavesh at the hour mark.
However, Tonca scored their third in the dying minutes of the game through Joel Almeida to make it 3-1.
At Agassaim ground, Rohit Pilgaonkar scored a fine treble to help CDJ Ribandar score 10 past their opponents.
Shubham Pednekar bagged a brace while Vishal Adkonkar, Clive Monteiro, Mateus Dias, Rahul Naik and Kishan Kavlekar scored a goal each for the winners. Dulo Gauns was the lone goal scorer for the losing team.
