TALEIGAO: Young Boys of Tonca earned a hard fought 2-1 win over Odxel Sports Club in the Goa Football Association Second Division League Ilhas Zone match played at Taleigao ground, on Tuesday.
The teams began the match on equal footing but Odxel SC were first to take the lead in the 12th minute through Samir Diukar.
After much probing, Young Boys of Tonca made it all square in the 30th minute through Rijo Rego. The teams were tied 1-1 at the breather.
Changing ends, Salu Santos scored in the 50th minute for Young Boys of Tonca which proved to be the match-winner.
Odxel SC had their fair share of chances but failed to convert on several opportunities as their strikers fumbled with the chances that were created by their teammates.
