MARGAO: A second half strike by Stalin Baptista enabled United Club of Benaulim over come Young Boys of Tonca (YBT) 1-0 to march into the quarter-final of all-Goa Fr Basilio Andrade memorial inter-village football tournament, organized by AA De Majorda, at Musson ground, Majorda, on Thursday. There was no score at the lemon break.
After a barren first half, United Club of Benaulim broke the deadlock through Stalin Baptista’s power-packed strike.
Down by a goal, Young Boys of Tonca went all out but failed to get past the rival rearguard.
