MAPUSA: Young Boys of Aradi entered the final of the Friends Circle Candolim inter-ward football tournament, after a hard fought 1-0 win over Pinto’s Vaddo, played at Candolim ground, on Tuesday.
Aradi keeper Chandan Redkar came with a brilliant save in the 6th minute of play when he fisted away Jess D’Souza’s power-packed shot.
Couple of minutes later Sudhir Gawas saw his rasping right footer bang the Pinto’s woodwork.
Much awaited goal came in the 40th minute of play when Vilroy Rego positioned himself perfectly to tap in the ball from close range, 1-0.
