PANJIM: Young Boys of Varca defeated Star Boys of Varca 2-0 in the final to emerge champions in the 3rd 4-a-side open football tournament organized by First Dando and Butica Boys, at Varca, recently.
Young Boys pocketed Rs 6,000 while Star Boys settled for Rs 4,000.
Individual prizes were awarded to best defender of the tournament Mohamed Shaikh (Star Boys) and best player of the tournament to Allwyn Fernandes (Jakniband Boys), Navelim for scoring six goals including a hat-trick. Prizes were distributed by club president Avinash Estibeiro and Joshua de Fradilem.
