MARGAO: Young Strikers Club registered a narrow win 1-0 over Canacona Sports & Cultural Club in U-13 II Division League at Benaulim ground (SAG) on Sunday.
Both the teams started the match on an attacking note. Neither side were able to break the deadlock in the first half.
In the second half, Young Strikers Club scored the only goal of the game through Shelloyd Siqueira in the 51th minute giving Young Strikers Club three points.
At Dramapur ground, FC Goa ran riot over Churchill Brothers Sports Club with a 10-1 win.
Crossley Dias opened the scoring for the winners. He once again shot the ball on the target doubling the score for FC Goa in the 28th minute .
Daiwik Dharshan scored the third and Messi Colaco scored the fourth. The captain of FC Goa Clizer Noronha scored the fifth in the 40th minute. Crossley Dias completed his hat trick in the 44th minute. At the breather the winners were in the lead 6-0.
In the second half, the captain Clizer Noronha scored two more goals completing his hat trick in the 67th minute. Harsh Nagvekar and Shannoy Quadros scored for the winning team.
However, Shanoy Siqueira scored the consolation for Churchill Brothers Sports Club in the 76th minute.
