ZB Boys, Zoribhat stunned Fatima Sports Club, Baida 4-3 via the tie-breaker to storm into the quarter-finals of VJT Cup football tournament organised by VJT Events Management at Church ground, Chinchinim on Thursday. The teams were tied 2-2 at full time.
Fatima took the lead when Narcisco Gomes stunned the rivals with a long ranger. Surprised, ZB Boys went into the attack and were rewarded when a Fatima defender brought down a ZB player inside the rival penalty area and referee Alvito Pereira without any hesitations awarded the penalty. Raju Raikar sent the rival keeper in the wrong direction.
Changing ends, Fatima made it 2-1 through a spot kick taken by Domnic Rebello. However, their joy was short lived when Raju Raikar restored parity. ZB Boys had the last laugh in the tie-breaker.
