PANJIM: Zito Archery Club’s Aresh Naik and Usha Narvekar finished first and second in their respective Veterans categories at the 1st National Online Archery tournament that was held via the video-conferencing app, recently.
Shami Noor settled for third place in the U-17 girls’ category.
Archers from Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh and Goa took part in the competition.
The competition was played in Bamboo wooden Bow (Indian bow), free style recurve, free style unlimited, and compound bow.
The competition was held for senior men and women, veteran men and women,U-10, U-14,U-17, and U-19 for boys and girls.
The other participants from the academy were Ridhann Gohiol & Arav Menezes(U-10 boys), Shripad Desai, Nayfen Fernandes & Samuel Fernanedes (U-14 boys), Reeya Kerka, Ishani Desai & Jannat Bedi (U-14 girls) and Fabio Pereira(U-17 boys).
