COLVA: The much delayed elections to the vacant post of the Sernabatim-Vanelim-Colva-Gaundalim village panchayat sarpanch will be held on June 10.
The ‘united’ group of five ruling panch members of this nine-member Colva village panchayat led by former Colva sarpanch Anthony ‘Mam’ Fernandes recently petitioned Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho, Chief Secretary, Panchayats Secretary and Director of Panchayats Siddhi T Halarnakar regarding the order issued by the Halarnakar on the eve of the elections postponing the sarpanch elections scheduled on June 4.
