In the first prequarterfinal, Government College, Quepem won by 63 runs against Goa Medical College, Bambolim.
Government College, Quepem batted first and scored 173/6 in 20 overs. Rohit Khutkar (76), Abhinav Marathe (37), Shubham Naik (12) and Shivram Sangukar (10) were the run getters. Omkar Naik (2/26), Nandan Karade (1/38), Ajamr Abdula (1/34) and Kalyan Naik (1/26) performed well for Goa Medical College.
In reply Goa Medical College managed to score 110/7 in 20 Overs. Suyash Govekar (33*) was the top scorer. Abhinav Marathe (3/11), Prasad Naik (2/19) and Asli Carvalho (1/25) were the wicket takers for Government College, Quepem.
In the second prequaterfinal, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda defeated V.M.Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar by 5 runs.
Batting first, Don Bosco College of Engineering scored 145/9 in 20 overs. Sanket Mandrekar(21), Aalekh Devari (70), Vaibhav Naik(10), Amogh Prabhudesai (14) were the run getters. Rahul Deulkar (3/25), Viraj Tar (1/27) and Dishan Naik (2/23) were at their best for V.M.Salgaocar College of Law.
In reply, V.M. Salgaocar lost by few runs after scoring 140/5 in 20 overs. Viraj Pandit (14), Dishan Naik (18), Viraj Tar (51) Mayur Pednekar (16) and Sushant Desai (20) top scored. Prestley Gomes 1/27 and Aalekh Desai 1/32 were the wicket takers for DBCE.
On Wednesday, GVM’s College, Farmagudi and Dhempe College, Mira Mar won their respective matches to move ahead into the quarter-finals.
In the first pre-quarters, GVM College, Farmagudi defeated Government College, Pernem by 53 runs. GVM’S batted first and scored 174/4 in 20 overs.
In reply, Govt. College, Pernem managed 121/8 in the allotted overs.
In the second match, Dhempe College defeated St Xaviers College, Mapusa by 22 runs.
Dhempe batted first and scored 143/10 in 19.1 overs. In reply, St Xavier only managed 121/9 in 20 overs.
