VASCO: Rajesh Madar (31), a Chicalim resident, was arrested by Vasco police for outraging the modesty of a girl while she was returning home from the work on Friday night.
Vasco police said Madar was arrestedover the complaint filed by a girl for outraging her modesty and molestation charges.
Vasco police said that the complainant was going home at around 11 pm on Friday. The accused person came on a scooter, parked it and then came from behind, caught the victim, pushed her down and further dragged her into the bushes. When complainant tried to scream, the accused shut her mouth with his hand and caught hold of her neck and threatened her with dire consequences if she raised alarm.
Police have registered an offence under Section 323, 506(ii), 354, 345(D) of IPC against the accused. PSI Diogo Gracius is investigating the matter.
