RAIA: Raia SC got the better of Dicarpale SC 4-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the 47th All Goa Custodio Memorial football tournament organised by Raia Sporting Club, at Raia panchayat ground, on Saturday.
In the first minute itself Raia took the lead through Oilex Oliveira’s placement shot off Llyod Cardozo’s assist.
At the other end, Dicarpale through Agnelo Colaco’s downward header missed the Raia target by a whisker in the 4th minute.
Seven minutes later, Raia doubled the lead through Lloyd Cardozo.
Minutes later, Dicarpale’s Velington Rocha missed a penalty as he shot the ball over the Raia cross bar.
Dicarpale pulled a goal back through Agnelo Colaco in the 27th minute.
Three minutes later, Oilex Oliveira made it 3-1 for Raia.
Lloyd Cardozo made it 4-1 for Raia in the 36th minute. Seven minutes before for the final whistle, Leslie Costa made it 2-4 for Dicarpale.
Raia SC will now meet Curtorim Gymkhana in the quarter-finals on July 7.
