PANJIM: The Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) organised an interaction between UK based Maritime Trade Mission (MTM) and Goan companies in the maritime sector, recently. The MTM was interested in collaborating with Goa-based shipbuilders and repairers.
Whilst welcoming the UK Maritime Trade Mission, the GCCI President, Narayan Bandekar expressed hope that this interaction with the best in class shipbuilders from UK, would help the local shipbuilding community in building possible business relationship which will be mutually beneficial.
The mission felt that as both the countries have a strong maritime history, they would be in a position to help in building vessels capable of conducting missions for disaster relief and anti piracy operations.
Nigel Cabral, Member of the Chamber’s Managing Committee gave a brief overview of the shipbuilding industry in Goa and the BBG-Goa President, Beryl Nasse, proposed a vote of thanks.
