At a police-public meeting held in the village, the villagers expressed concern over the growing incidents of burglaries and robberies. They have called for day and night patrolling as a deterrent to miscreants, who struck at residential houses in the village.
The issue of presence of tenants also figured during the meeting. While residents called for compiling the antecedents of the tenants in rented premises, DySP Mohan Naik sought cooperation of the villagers to achieve the task.
He said the tenant verification exercise can be carried out systematically with cooperation and support from the villagers.
Villagers said eye should be kept at vulnerable sites.
