No half measures

I found the issues raised in the Citizenherald of September 19 quite interesting.  Personally, I totally agree with you that there should be no half measures on the helmet issue: 1. Helmet must be worn by both rider and pillion at all times when riding.  2. No 3rd person should be on the  two wheeler. No helmet no ride. 3. Stringent law should be applicable to all, Turban no excuse either!
It is noticed that two-wheeler riders primarily blame the condition of the roads as an excuse for not using a helmet.  The truth is, the helmet protects the head from injury and must be worn, especially on rough roads, where a rider is compelled to ride carefully, instead of zooming at high speeds. There is no excuse or softening of law.
