PANJIM: United Sports Club Seraulim scores a fluent 4-0 win over St Anthony’s Club Colva in the Goa Football Association Third Division League, at Dando ground, on Saturday.
The match started on even note with both teams fighting for possession in the opening minutes. Soon USC Seraulim took control of the fame and close to scoring through Zeben Dias and Aldrich Araujo. But both missed the opportunities to take their team ahead in the game.
In the 20th minute, Shelton Araujo put his side ahead with a good goal.
The lad doubled the account just before the breather to give the Seraulim side a two-goal lead in the first session.
St Anthony’s Riston Gomes had a rare chance but the rival defence thwarted the effort before he could capitalise.
Finally after much pressing, Seraulim scored their third through Shelton, who completed his hat-trick in the 85th minute.
In the 90+1 minutes, Ashley Fernandes hit the final nail in the coffin to make it 4-0.
GFA U-16 league
Wilred Leisure Sports Club scored a comfortable 2-0 win over CRC Chinchinim at Artificial turf ground, Fatorda.
The winners displayed a good brand of football playing more of short passes and maintaining possession in the game.
They scored both goals in the first half through Sem Fernandes and Venson Paes. Sem scored in the 29th minute while Venson doubled account just before the breather. The final score remained 2-0 in favor of Wilred Leisure.
