CANACONA, SEPT 8
A 22-year-old woman from Patnem-Canacona committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence on Tuesday at about 8.30 pm.
It was reportedly learnt that the deceased, who had completed a nursing course and working in a hospital at Margao, reportedly informed house inmates that she was going to take bath.
According to sources, the woman was found hanged to a ceiling, before she was brought down and rushed to Canacona Community Health Centre, where she was declared brought dead by a doctor on duty.
Sources informed that till later Tuesday night, police were still in the process of completing the formalities, besides gathering other details of the incident.
The reason behind the committing suicide was not known, informed a source.
